Faculty Opportunities

The faculty, administration and support staff of any school play a crucial part in helping youth develop a healthy lifestyle. NCADA offers a variety of services for these professionals.

Faculty Education And In-Service Opportunities: These trainings are tailored to the needs of the group. Training formats are flexible and vary in length from one hour to three days! Topics include:

Student Assistance Programs: Training and consultation for faculties in setting up school structures (CARE teams) to identify and care for students in trouble. Problems arising from chemical abuse, family struggles and depression are some of the issues addressed by a student assistance program. Depending on the school's goals, trainings can vary from two to five days.

Sponsor Networking: It is helpful for sponsors of prevention programs to get together with their peers in different schools to share experiences and ideas. NCADA offers several networking opportunities for Safe and Drug-Free Schools Coordinators and for sponsors of TREND, HISTEP, mediation and peer helping programs.
